I had horses growing up in Northern Virginia. I remember going out into the field to catch my horse on some very cold days ... it looked like this photo. The snow would be sitting on the horses backs and the earth would be frozen solid. I loved the steam that would come off of thier bodies as we would ride and how it would blow out their noses. Funny how this kind of memory stays so clear, I can almosts feel it right now. Anyway ... sigh.
